As much as I love my M&Ps I think I may have a new favorite for now. FNX .45 Tactical with Trijicon RMR02 . It's gonna look even better when my .45 Osprey gets out of jail next year.

That looks interesting. When you taking it to the range?

I took it twice on Friday. Once immediately after picking it up and then later in the day when UPS dropped off my RMR from Botach. It has a great trigger in both single and double action and was very accurate. Recoil is pretty mild as well. It looks really big but though I don't have large hands it just feels really good.

I have an FNX-45 as well - sweetest shooting .45 I've ever handled.

One of my favorite firearms.

It has definitely become my favorite pistol. It will probably get even more range time when the stamp for the Osprey .45 gets here. Should be any day now.

Very nice pistol and RMR. I know you like the pistol but how about the red dot?
I have been looking at reflex sights for my Pro 9 CORE, but get a case of heartburn about paying as much for the sight as the gun.

I like the RMR. I wouldn't say I'm in love with it. It's great for shooting fast but it took me a long time to learn to pick up the dot quickly after using irons for so long.

Thanks for the feedback. I plan to use mine (CORE) in a monthly point and shoot competition where speed is almost everything ( you do still have to hit the scoring zone). To be competitive you must fire 2 shots on each of 3 targets in less than 2 seconds with good hits. To win you need to do it in 1.3-1.5 seconds.
I have not convinced myself that I can react to the timer, acquire the dot on each target, fire a total of 6 shots and do this faster than I am doing it with iron sights. It would be nice to be able to do this with a red dot as my eyes don't see irons as good as they did when I was younger.

You can do it. Just takes some practice. I have terrible eyesight and I've noticed that when I wear my contacts (which don't have any correction for my astigmatism) the dot is bigger and slightly blurry but still easy to see. When I wear my glasses (which do correct my astigmatism) the dot looks perfect. I have the 8moa dot and I bought it from botach last year when they had an awesome sale for under 300 bucks. I would probably prefer a smaller dot though.
