CZ 2075 RAMI

Anyone have or shot one of these? For some reason I'm REALLY Jonesing for one. I have a CZ75 I just love. All metal and accurate as hell. Real heavy though, nothing I would want to carry any length of time, certainly not CC. The Shield is a fine gun, although I'm nowhere near as accurate as I am with the CZ75. RAMI is all metal, little fatter than the Shield, SA/DA like a CZ75 (as opposed to Striker fire) looks cooler than hell and holds 10-14 rds. Maybe a little fat for CC, at least in the summer. Thinking of maybe getting one for the car.

I've shot one but don't own one. I honestly really liked it. Only complaint was it is a bit heavy for a small pistol. Being an all metal pistol I kind of expected it though. Plus it looks really cool as well. Was a lot of fun to shoot. If I was looking to buy another small cc I'd get one. All my misc/fun money is going towards a wilson combat 1911 or trp if I cant wait.

With all due respect I believe the 1911 is SA only, no DA except for one model of Para Ordnance.

If I am incorrect it would not be the first time.

You are probably right. I don't own a 1911. My CZ75B is SA/DA and I assumed 1911's were since they look so similar.

With the exception noted and Colt's short-lived DA version, all other 1911's are single action only. What the CZ75 family offers is the option to carry with the hammer down on a loaded chamber and fire the first shot double action OR, to carry with the hammer cocked and the safety on, so-called "cocked and locked", and fire the first shot single action like the 1911.

Plus the 3rd option of "half cocked". Still a double action on the first shot but a shorter trigger pull. My preferred method (and what CZ recommends). DOn't want me (or the wife) having to think of swiping the safety in a stress situation.

The CZ75 is a very fine firearm and is noted for accuracy.

CZ now owns Dan Wesson, my favorite brand of 1911.

I also own a CZ 452 American .22LR rim fire rifle and like it also.

The CZ 75 looks and functions more like a Browning hi power than a 1911.

I own and carry a CZ 2075 Rami BD on a daily basis. I LOVE IT!!! I own the model with a decocker and no safety. It can be a little heavy sometimes but i love the gun. I also have a CZ 75 SP-01 Phantom and the mags for the phantom as well as a CZ 75B and other 75 models work in the rami!! so i have the 10 and 14 round mag that it came with and three 19 round an 18 round and a 16 round that all work in it. I shoot the 2075 better than my 75! The trigger pulls are Very similar if not identical. The frame also has a full length slide rail. It is SA/DA like the 75 and i carry it in the half cock position as recommended. All in all i love the gun and i thin k it is great. Iv put a couple thousand rounds through it of various brands and loads of ammo and have had no misfires or failures.

No. The High Power is single action only, just like a 1911. It has no double action capability at all.

Ok, the CZ 75 looks and is also designed to shoot 9mm like a hi power.

Yes I owned one when they first came out (9 months)...great pistol, accurate, reliable, tough, made by an out-standing company...my only issue with CZ's is that the trigger is farther forward than most, which made the first shot in DA difficult...Ihen I traded it off for a Glock 26...in the end I like striker-fired pistols over DA's...YMMV
