I asked this question in a thread in the accessories sub-forum, but I thought it might get more responses here. Sorry for the double-post.
I picked up a Desantis thumb break scabbard (looks like basically the same as the speed scababrd only with a thumb break) for my FS 9mm the other day and I've been wearing it around the house to try and get used to it. I have a few questions for you guys that have been using a Desantis holster, either speed scabbard or thumb break scabbard, for a while.
First, do you carry concealed with this holster? I've tried it at anywhere from 2:00 (it looks like I have a colostomy bag) to 4:00. The best seems to be 3:00, but it still shows if you look. Right now I'm wearing it on a decent belt with Levis and a really loose t-shirt and it seems to me it prints like crazy almost no matter what I do. I'm not a huge guy (5'9" @175) but I have fairly broad shoulders and a narrow (not as narrow as it used to be
) waist. Any suggestions?
Second, what do you do about sitting? I can't sit back in a chair or on the couch without it really digging into my side. Same thing in the car.
Finally, how long before it stops squeaking? It could be that it's only doing it because I'm using a leather belt, too.
Thanks in advance.
