NYS CCW AMENDMENT BS......

So, I'm in NYS, specifically in Westchester County, which is just north of NYC, the "normal" wait time for amending a CCPP (to add a pistol to your permit) is ONE MONTH.

I purchased a Sig Sauer P320 back in November, hand delivered the amendment paperwork on the day before thanksgiving, AND I AM STILL WAITING FOR IT!!!!!!

I've called the County Clerk's office a few times now (because I keep thinking it must be lost in the mail) and have been told basically that it's sitting on the judge's desk, waiting to be signed off.

This is beyond ridiculous, and I'm just so fed up, that I had to post this.

I currently have my home on the market, and I am planning to move my family out of NYS, this just makes it so much mor frustrating that I'm still living in this state.

I can't wait to hear responses from guys in the Mid West.......

judges don't have to answer to anyone. the just love to flaunt that fact. and, the clowns that appoint them? particularly in that craphole of a state....they can pretty much be documented chomos, and still get re-elected.

run...run while you still can. and, don't stop at new jersey.

I am in NC and have a CHP. There is no listing of guns on my permit and with the carry permit I can walk into a gun shop and walk out with a handgun with no farther background check or permit needed. Hope you get to move to a more gun friendly state.

We still have room for a few more Yanks who have seen the light here in Alabama.

None of the NYS BS here and anyone without a criminal record get a CCW permit is 20 minutes or less from local Sheriff's office. Good for the entire state and 34 reciprocal states.

That sucks!

You can buy as many as you want down here, and the CCW's aren't tied to any specific weapon, so you can buy/carry whatever you want.

Free Americans shouldn't have to live like that (even the Yankees)!

I'm in Florida. If I find a firearm I want, I buy it and take it home. The length of time it takes is dependent on how long it takes me to fill out the form. Life is good (I stole that).

Not rubbing it in, my friend; just providing you with some positive reinforcement on your decision to move!

Indeed. Besides our shitty roads, PA is a good place to live. No mag limits, no stupid gun laws.

Ha, ha... Then it won't help you to mention that NH is a gun friendly state in the northeast. We got lotsa snow! ;-) But we are the "Live Free or Die" state, and a shall issue state for CCW licenses. Instant background checks take 10 to 25 minutes, depending on the time of year and demand.

Rich G, that's some funny but true shit.

But seriously, it's 100 degrees here in the summer, with 80% humidity, so it would be that for more months, without the single digits and snow.....

Up North here in Western WA the high's are in the 50's this week.

No mag limits, open carry, shall issue CPL, no waiting period on purchases with a CPL in WA, and suppressors are legal to own and use with the appropriate paperwork.
