It depends on several things, like body type and personal preference. Best advice is to try/buy several and decide for yourself, like everybody else does. I invariably carry at 4:00, occasionally with a secondary/backup at 8:00 or on the ankle, but that might not work for you.

I carry both ways depending on dress. I prefer appendix for comfort and concealability myself.

I suggest you read this thread and carefully consider if appendix his for you...https://pistol-forum.com/showthread....Appendix-Carry)

I carry either my fs9 or my 45c appendix when not at work. I prefer a JM custom kydex for appendix, excellent service and features. It is not tuckable I'll either wear a t shirt and conceal as is or I'll have a sweatshirt or button up over.

I prefer JM custom version 2 for 330 wear.

Just some thoughts for you.

I like the appdx carry for when I may have people around me, I dont want someone to be able to snatch my weapon from my side. I end up carrying appdx almost exclusively... Now I need a holster to do it safely. I know, I know...

The Sheets around here are frequented by ghetto guest and I dont want 6 of them around me with my butt exposed and easy to get to.

It really depends on the individual. If the have a good return policy, I suggest getting both and trying them out. Although most people find appendix more concealable or comfortable, it is also very uncomfortable for others.

Bottom line, you need to try it out yourself

For me, appendix carry is out. The distance between my waste and lowest rib is too short.

If you're still debating where to carry, why not start with a Remora (or other similar inexpensive holster) and experiment? Try it in various positions to see which area is most comfortable, then get the better holster.
(or just stick with the Remora )

That's my problem also!!!!! I thought it was just me. I can IWAB a J-Frame but that is about it.

Owb is no issue if done properly.

This is really good advice RobzGunz!

Inside the Waistband Holster with Soft Loop - Blue Line Concealment LLC

This is my favorite AIWB holster. Comfortable and easy to conceal.

i forgot to mention im limited to holsters because i have a viridian x5l on my 45c and need a holster to accommodate it.. ima be getting a DARA kydex holster. but they come with non adjustable cants. appendix requires a REV cant and 3:30 requires a FBI cant

Sounds like another reason to start with a Remora (or similar 'sticky' type) holster. You can place it anywhere (appendix, 3:30, Cross-Draw for driving) and adjust the Cant any way you please.

Once you figure out your most comfortable carry position, figuring out your 'perfect' holster will be a little easier.... Not MUCH easier, but a little.
