i don't own one, assisted / automatic openers are illegal to carry here, you can own them but not carry them ... it just looks kind of funky, almost like a door-prize or promo give-away.

I am going to buy a few, more to use for pictures of M&Ps. I can already see some shark skin on that knife panel along side a full custom compact.

+1.... The S&W knives I've seen in the gun rags looks okay, but this one is funky.

Looking at a link in the knife review, they make a 'tanto blade' version that looks better IMO. It has the serrations found on the pistols.

That would look great. Make some nice pics with the M&P pistols you do such a beautiful job of customizing.

Dan, do you know if this knife is legal in PA? I know the thumb-assisted is ok, but wondering if the button open makes it an auto opening knife in PA's laws?

The button is not the open button. The button is a lock that will lock the blad inside the knife so that it can not open inside the pocket. No sure about PA laws but when I asked a cop buddy here in Texas, he said the button is what made it legal here and said he felt that would be the case in most states. Hope this helps!

Thanks. They demo'ed them last night on Shooting USA - I thought I saw Jim Scoutten using the button to open as well. Well I'll soon find out, I ordered one.
