New EDC light!

Very excited! Been researching small flashlights for a few days and finally ordered one. I had a few criteria in mind that this one met perfect.
  • lightweight
  • thin
  • tactical style
  • tailcap switch
  • no multimodes
  • relatively cheap but still of great quality

So I ordered a Streamlight Microstream. Has excellent reviews including a very handy s-clip that clips to either direction. Runs on 1 AAA battery. Be at the house tomorrow, can't wait!

Great to hear, I didn't want bulky or long. Was eyeing the stylus pro but felt it would be too long.

I have one of those myself...They are great little lights! Congrats! I have some larger versions mounted on a couple of my AR's. Love em!

You can order it with the universal P-rail accessory as well for less than $30.00; mounts on / off in seconds.

I'm curious what you use this configuration for? Is this just a night stand pistol? Every light bearing holster I've seen is for inline lights such as TLR or Xiphos. It would appear the extra bulk off to the side would make the holster sit significantly far away from the body and make engineering a duty retention system a challenge.

......they are obviously not "inline", hence one of the differences and to some offer the advantage of not having to acquire a dedicated holster with its attendant added bulkiness, as illustrated below.

I use it on occasion as a mini-me version of the Safariland RLS (shown below, also with a belt clip).......neither of which are intended to be used with a dedicated holster.....the application advantage being you don't always have to point a loaded-flashlight ! Slip if off your belt, and onto your gun of choice as needed. I keep these style lights mounted in the car for easy access for multi-tasking the device.

On most night stands about the house, I prefer the SureFire variants mounted; like this FN 5.7 peace-keeper.
