I am new to the M&P world, and also new to the LE world starting as a Reserve Officer, and I am hoping to use some vacation time coming up to further what our department already trains. I was wondering what type of experience other LEO's have with nationwide training schools and programs. I am hoping to do some sort of 3-7 day pistol-specific clinic and in the future, do other types as well (sniper, active-shooter, etc.). I have plenty of experience shooting, but really want to hone my skills in LE-related areas, and build the confidence that I will need to one day step up to a full-time patrol position. Any suggestions or reviews would be great!

Any class that ha you doing extensive holster drills, failure drills, shooting on the move, shooting from cover, reload drills, and transitions (pistol to rifle or vice versa). These skills are required IMHO. You should expect to shoot 1500-2500 rounds in a good quality class and be expected to be both mentally and physically exhausted.

This might be something worth considering. It's only three days but from what I've seen in the DVD's it's fairly intensive training.
