What is the difference between all the different Winchester 9mm Ranger ammo?
You have the Ranger 124gr +P RA9124N, the Ranger 127gr +P+ T-Series RA9TA and the the Ranger 9mm T-Series +P RA9124TP & then you have the 147gr bullet weights along with the 115gr weights.
What would be the best carry ammo (assuming a M&P 9mm likes it) for upper midwest where it get's hot in the summer and extremly cold in the winter with lots of snow and heavy winter clothing.
What bullet replaced the "black talon" & what is Winchesters star performer in the 9mm category?

From "the list" :http://m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=19887
"The following loads all demonstrate outstanding terminal performance and can be considered acceptable for duty/self-defense use:"
Winchester Ranger-T 124 gr +P JHP (RA9124TP)
Winchester Ranger-T 127 gr +P+ JHP (RA9TA)
Winchester Ranger-T 147 gr JHP (RA9T)
the RA9124N is a FMJ 9mmNATO round. hot ammo, but not the best in ballistic performance.
The Ranger-T series bullet is the current 'best performer' and top of the line in the Ranger series. (not all ranger is equal)
Stay away from anything that says "SXT" on it. it's not bad ammo, it just uses the old black talon type bullet design which has been eclipsed in performance by T-series, Federal's HST, Speer's Gold dot, and Rem's Golden Saber, amongst a couple others. I do see a lot of vendors passing SXT series as the 'latest and greatest'

Yup, what g60 said. Definitely check out the ammo/ballistics info thread over on M4C.net. It's been posted all over the net on various forums now, and that's because Doc really knows what he is talking about. We are very blessed to have him on our forums, freely sharing his knowledge and experiences/info.

I hate to state the obvious, but you could just look at the tacked threads on this very forum, they were written by our member DocGKR, a recognized authority on the subject, and the same person who wrote those on the other forums.
