Hornady "American Gunner" ammo

Just wondering if anybody has used hornadys American gunner ammo. Thinking about trying it out but I'm not sold on the range/defense combo, but the lower price is nice! Looking at the 115 gr and 124 gr 9mm.

Also if anybody has found test results or ballistics on it and posted it that would be appreciated.

big question here is what length barrel do you have? if 4" or more, it should be fine if it is 3" you need to step up to the (new) +P version, if you use regular, it won't have sufficient velocity to expand and will act like FMJ, it is the same as Hornady custom and they required 1100 fps to properly expand so this one would too. Right on! I've ran a number of mags worth of the 124gr+p through my FS9 and the sheild 9. Feeds reliably, but still haven't found any good data on it.

Exclamation

I received an email earlier today and below is what it said:

Hello,

I have no idea where you are hearing this but it could not be further from the actual truth. This round performs perfectly in all of our testing and if it had not the bullets would have been recycled and never loaded into ammo and sold.

Thanks

I'm just wondering what makes it nearly $10 cheaper than there critical defense/ critical duty ammo. It is a XTP bullet and not a FTX bullet but besides that why is it so much cheaper?
