I have over 100 photos in my files of guns blown up by commercially reloaded ammunition, there was one in here just a month or so back of an M&P blown up by a commercial reload, that guy was lucky, the company stood behind their ammo and is taking care of him, but don't count on that, a lot of those are fly by night operations that not only have poor quality control but if their ammo blows up your gun, too bad, you're SOL. Its a crapshoot at best, do you want to risk an expensive gun by using crappy ammo?

This is one I know some more details on, this was a brand new AR-15, less than 100 rounds through it before a gun show reload blew it up, the guy that had the ammo just remembered he had got the ammo at a gun show, but not who made it, so this guys brand new $800 AR was a total loss.

If it's a reputable reloader the ammo is just as good as any other.
There are some reloaders out there that have no quality control, roll the dice and take your chances.

As a general rule I don't shoot reloads from anyone other than myself or my Dad when he was alive. Just not worth the risk. Just last week my buddy had some 10mm reloads he bough at a gun show and he had nothing but problems with them. I will give credit to the vendor when my buddy called him the guy said not problem he would refund the money.

My gun range will not allow u to use reloads in their rental guns.
Check freedom ammo for reloads.

There is more to that then concerns about reloads damaging their guns. They want to sell you ammunition and that's where a lot of their income is from. One local rental range insists you shoot, and pay for, their supplied ammo.

Manufactors like freedom munitions, LAX and military ballistic industries sell reloaded ammo and have good reviews.
IMO, buying reloaded ammo from "unknown reloaders" is a disaster waiting to happen. The few bucks you save is not worth injury.

It is a overpriced and unproven defensive round.
Stick with the proven performers like golddots, hst, corbon and quite a few others.

RIP ammo isn't unproven! It's known to be a FMJ with spikes that will make a superficial wound.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from 'specialty loads' that have nothing on a quality bonded jacket hollow point. DOCGKR has a list posted a thousand times including here on m&p form for you to review.

As far as reloaded ammo I don't buy factory reloads anymore after seeing what can happen. New factory ammo only or my personal reloads. Nothing else. I won't even buy 'once fired brass' for reloading because there is no way of knowing how many times it was fired.

Here's a pretty good review on that ammo, this guy does a pretty good job on his ammo reviews.
