Barnes TAC-XPD 115 +P

I'm far from an expert, but this stuff looks to be a great SD round, at least according to Lucky Gunner's tests:

Handgun Self-Defense Ammunition - Ballistic Testing Data

On sale at Cabela's with free shipping (code 5winter) PLUS a $10 rebate per box from Barnes..... $7 for a 20-round box.

It has the best expansion in the test, and penetration is good relative to FBI standards (and very consistent). They used an M&P 9c in the test... so I assume with a full-sized you should be spot-on for penetration... maybe a little under penetration with a sub-compact.

I don't see any data on FTF/FTE on this test, but at $7 a box, it's worth taking a flyer for a couple boxes.

Ballistics Gurus feel free to correct any misconceptions I have.....
