Winchester 223 LE ammo PURPLE cases
I thought this was so bizarre I had to post it, Midway has acquired a batch of Winchester 223 ammo produced for a US contract with purple cases, I checked the page and found that this is conventional brass cased reloadable brass, no different from other brass cased ammo except the color. BIZARRE!

The purple is just a coating that rubs off. To my understanding, these are overrun or rejected ammo from US DHS.
Ballistics wise, they follow the same thought process as using Speer Lawman for cheaper training to Gold Dot duty use.
