Only the Insight X2/XL2 will fit. Like you noticed, the others are too long.

sand it off?

I personally don't have a need for (or want) a light rail on such a compact gun designed for concealed carry. Has anyone heard of somebody that has removed their light rail? I would seriously consider asking for it if I sent mine into Burwell...at lease see what he thought about the idea.

Why would you want to remove the light rail? The only reason I can think of is cosmetic...

To me the rail is NOT useless.I like having the rail mounted light mounted for home protection.Instead of carring a flashlight.

And for everyone else the Insight X2 or XLM fit great...I'm hoping to get one for Christmas!!!

I disagree with that statement. Some people cannot afford or will not buy more than one gun. The rail on the compact allows users to use a small light on the gun at home and is small enough as a carry gun without the light as well. For those that will not use a light on it (such as me), it takes nothing at all away from the gun.

As to the question I asked, how does having a rail HURT besides as an eyesore to some?
