Also, does the muzzle end of the spring still rest against the end of the slide, or does it now rest against the Hybrid slide filler piece?
From seeing the spring diameter and filler piece in the above pic; I'd say it contacts the filler.

Otherwise, it'd be pretty "loosey goosey."

Yeah, that's my thought too and it explains why they ended up having to use a new recoil spring and guiderod.

When I first played around with putting my FS slide on my Compact frame I thought all that would needed was a filler to cover the exposed part of the RSA. When they first announced they were available I about choked on the price and couldn't see why it would need a new RSA.

But then...after running through the mechanics of how the RSA and Slide and filler interact with each other I've come to accept the need for a new recoil spring and guide rod.

I'm putting it on my Birthday list!

No one has a range report yet??

I'm sure hoping the "crickets" I'm hearing as far as range reports on the Hybrid isn't a negative indication as to how they work!

Wow...still just hearing "Crickets"...doesn't give me much motivation for me to buy one!

So far mine is working perfect. I just have been busy with my three jobs and haven't had much time to shoot.

The only issue I had was with my trigger jobs. My fullsize plunger didn't match with my compact trigger bar due to each being polished to pair with its own mating part. Easy fix and is now perfect.

Buy with confidence.

That's a really neat idea, as soon as I have enough posts to be allowed to post in the classifieds I'm putting up a Want to Buy M&P FS .40 slide thread.
