I'm looking for recommendations on lights, laser sights ,and night sights for a 9compact. dual function rail mounted rigs? grip laser w/ rail light? also recco's for night sights as well.

being holsterable is also a consideration.

Crimson Trace is the obvious choice for a laser. It's grip mounted switch is completely intuitive, no thought required to activate it.

TLR-1 is too big for an M&P compact IMO, but they offer an inexpensive (cheap) compact light and compact laser/light that might be worth looking at. Viridian is offering their excellent C5L compact laser/light, which fits your compact very well (see below).

Tru-Glo makes what many consider to be the best defensive sights around, their Tritium Fiber Optic (TFO) day/dusk/night sights, part tg131mpt.

I just ordered an NcStar light / laser combo for my M&P FS9. Good reviews. Thought I'd try it out. I have a CT Laserguard on my LC9 but opted for the Lasermax for my Shield9. I like the grip switch on the CT but wanted an on/off for my Shield so I could more easily practice at the range with and without the laser coming on.

+1 on the Viridian C5L on the M&P9c. The C5L is very small and the green laser is amazingly bright. The LED is rated at 100 lumens or so and it's not overwhelmingly bright. For the size it is a reasonable tradeoff for my purpose.

This is my bedside table (safe) gun and I keep mine in the (truly annoying and disorienting) strobe plus laser mode. I wear glasses with a reasonably strong prescription so the disorienting strobe and the bright green laser should provide a bit of "I'm ready for you!" deterrence and enough light and aiming assistance to give me the edge. I train at the range with (prescription) glasses on and glasses off and the setup seems to work really well.

Just had a Trijicon RM02 installed by L&M Precision Gunworks in Prescott, AZ.
Mark Housel did a wonderful job with the RMR and adding co located suppressor night sights. Followed up with a Viridian CTL which allows the irons to work if conditions are too dark for shooting with the RMR (the unit automatically adjusts for area lighting BUT the auto diode will not detect weapon lights, and hence, will not intensify the dot in lighting too low to shoot).

I'll throw a dissenting vote for the Viridian. Mine refuses to hold a zero on the laser (I actually carry mine so it gets bumped around, holstered, drawn, beat and banged, etc) for more than a couple days. Even for small distances commonly found inside a house, I do NOT trust this laser to stay where I zeroed it. The light is sufficient, but not great. Also, the gasket at the front of mine has deteriorated and split, coming out from the housing. Unfortunately, there aren't many options for the tiny 9c rail.

Does anyone have any experience with the new Crimson Trace Railmaster Pro, and know whether or not it will fit on a 9c? It seems like it's about the same size and function as the Viridian, but from a company that has a somewhat (possibly subjective) better reputation for quality components.
