Just bought a 9C

Kind of a new guy here. I've had a Shield in 9MM(my EDC) for a couple of months and love it. Today I had a chance to buy a 9C from the original owner for a great price. I got the gun, 3 mags (12 rounders), original case and according to the 4 digit # under the SKU (9187) it was born on July 6th 2009. I've got a few questions:

Is it a good one? Old frame new frame? Anything I need to know? I'll shoot it Friday. Any advice will be taken. Love the forum, learned a lot about my Shield here. Thanks in advance!

RR

Shot it today...loved it! shoots "softer" than my Shield, I was shooting 115GR FMJ. I did buy a 17 round mag and an X-grip...going to add a couple more of those as it really makes it nice.

I know I need to get used to it as I was more accurate with my Shield than the 9C. I've run about a 1000 rounds down the Shield and the 9C only has about 400 down the pipe now. It was used when I got it with only about 250 or so shot.
I can see myself using the C as a carrygun with a 12 round mag in the gun and a 17 round mag spare. I currently EDC the Shield with 3 8's and one in the pipe. Hitting the range again tomorrow.

I carry mine the same way, though, based on the locations visited; occasionally I'll carry two 17 round mag reloads.

The 9c is a good gun. I think it's even softer shooting than my FS M&P. So much so, that I'm considering buying one and putting a red dot on it for competition. With a red dot, slide length means nothing for accuracy.

I do OB carry with mine. It's in a Fatboy with a 12 round mag in it. My spare is a 12 round with 10 round extension. In the mag pouch in my pack it just looks like a black box since the extension is all that's seen. If I can't take care of the problem, or disengage and get out in that time with 35 rounds, something is very wrong.

Where would you get the slide milled? I've been thinking of doing that too
