Feel so dumb
Took my MP 45C apart to clean last night, and when I reassebled I did something wrong.
I removed slide and spring and barrel, and after cleaning reassembled but slide seems jammed? I can go all the way back, or all the way forward. Slide is stuck and I can't take it off.
Not sure but think I angled it wrong when I put the slide back on?
I'm watching Youtube, but haven't found the help I need yet.

I don't have that gun, but I think it's basically a larger version of the 9mm.
You, might have gone over the rail segments at the rear. It's easy to do.
I'd try to lift the slide at the rear and at the same time try to slide it forward and off. Gently. No hammers and no frustration in attendance. Do it after you cool down and regain some patience. I'm just putting myself in your position with that last sentence; BTDT.
If that does it I can guarantee that you'll never do it twice. It's easy to do.
Hopefully other folks have other suggestions, that's all I could think of and you'll pardon me if I don't try to replicate what you did.
Please let us know what finally works for our mental files.

Don't feel dumb , The slide jammed on my Shield but can't remember how I fixed it! I think it had something to do with the takedown lever.

Did the same thing to my 9c. Just had to keep trying to break it down after 10-15 minutes of trying to get the slide it finally came popping off.

Make sure your takedown lever is facing down, i know on my compact the recoil spring sometimes gets caught if the lever isn't facing all the way down.

I've gotten my slide stuck in many ways because I tinker so much that I'm always in a rush to put it back together and take it apart, to get things just right.
Every single time, it's always come down to brute force. The only thing that ever took a stuck slide off, was hard pulling and wiggling till it just came off.
This all, given every other step is correct.
