Performance Center Slide on 9c

Ok so I've been kicking around the idea of selling my 9c and buying a G19 MOS but every time I shoot the 9c I can't bring myself to get rid of it. I've never owned a glock and don't really care for the looks. I really want to try a optic on my EDC gun and I like the 15 round mags. I know I can get my slide custom cut for an optic but I'd kind of like to try the longer slide performance center kiton my gun. I'm looking for anyone one with input or experience and hopefully some pics of the setup.

I wouldn`t EVER give up a M&P 9c for ANY glock... just my 2 cents.

I too, am trying to get another 9mm S&W performance center slide kit,
but nobody has any anywhere, AND i talked to S&W about it, not available.

Maybe you could buy an extra slide/barrel topend on gunbroker, mill it for optics.

Me either; the great ergonomics of the M&P line is totally absent on glocks. I know. I'd owned five different glocks; until I bought my first M&P.

The glocks have been gone for many years now...

I bought a ATEI Hybrid Kit that is for doing exactly as you want to do...run a full size slide on a compact frame. The kit comes with a new spring and recoil rod and a filler piece to cover the exposed recoil spring.

I never tried it without the kit, but I think I read where you can, but doing so leaves about 1/2" to 1" of the recoil spring exposed to collect dirt and debris plus it may expose you to injury should it come in contact with you while firing it.

Yep, and they worked on that kit for quite a while to get it right; the intent being to wind up with a Commander sized M&P.
