Didn't have a lot of time but ran by the range to try the 45 and a new Remingiton 870 tactical.

The only problem was the last round would not go fully into battery. It looked like rim was dragging on the mag follower and actually scraped plastic of the follower. I tried loading anywere from 5 thru 10 rounds with the same results. I only took 1 mag
and one box of cheapo ammo
I'm not going to worry about until I try several mags, different ammo and run enough rounds thru it to break it in a little.

I broke my rule and didn't take my own adive and bought a box of CCI Blazzer brass. My thought was if it would shoot them it should eat anything. Wow what dirty ammo it's been years since I used any and wont use them again. I don't think the FTF problem was caused by the ammo though.

BTW, the 870 shot real nice, I hit the taget every time!

I have put well over 1k of blazer brass through my 45 and have occasionally had a failure to feed. The rounds seemed to hang up about half way into the chamber. I field stripped it and found a possible culprit. I found some minor rippling in the machining inside the top of the chamber. I broke out my dremel with the bullit shaped felt polishing tip and smoothed the area up. Just don't get too carried away. This seems to have fixed the problem for me. As for the brass ammo being dirty I think it is not bad at all WWB is way worse. I have to wipe down the fiber optic front sight after only 30 or 40 rounds. Good luck with yours.

Thanks I'll take a look at that. Mine seems to be hanging about the same way with the round partially in the chamber. But with mine it was ALWAYS the last round in the mag.
