Apex Ram doesn't fit new M&P .40

Hey guys,

I had my gunsmith install the Apex DACEK parts in my 3 week old M&P .40. No problem there but I was thinking of not using the Apex Ram that I purchased as the reset is so darn nice on the latest rendition of the M&P. Well he checked to see if it would fit as he wanted to see if it would make it even better but it doesn't fit. I am okay with that as I wasn't going to use it anyways but I thought some would like to know.

Did he tell you why it wouldn't? Does your gun have a manual safety, internal lock or mag disconnect?

S&W is in the process of transitioning to the universal sear block they introduced in the VTAC. Although they can accept a manual safety, unfortunately they can't accept APEX's current RAM. APEX has been with preparing a RAM for manual safety/universal sear blocks, but they've been working on that for a very long time.

A slight bend on your trigger bar will work way better then any ram I have come across.

Duplicate post... and I'm still chuckling from the last one.

He didn't say why it didn't work other than that it didn't fit. It is a model with no safety and doesn't have the magazine disconnect either. I will pick it up tomorrow and see if he says anything else.
