Good cheap M&P9 belt clip pistol holder? For home and range use ... Suggestions?

So I sometimes have solicitors come to my door selling things etc. etc. and a handful of times wonder what would happen if I stepped on the porch and they tried to enter the home (I leave the house on my front porch since I cannot open the door due to my dogs being there with me).

So I got to thinking ... maybe it's a good idea to find a cheap holster for my M&P9 and when this happens grab it and clip it the back of my pants etc. just in-case.

I know they sells TONS of holsters cheap and expensive but I would like to know what you all have found to the best overall budget no frills holster for an M&P9 Full Size gun (FYI. I have the 5" long slide Pro CORE with reflex optic mounted).

Thanks so much guys and I look forward to your replies. :)

I know several folks will disagree, but for the purpose you want it for, I'd go with a SERPA paddle holster. Certainly not the best for concealment, but it is a good holster.

I have heard SO much bad stuff about those holsters though ... I don't know much about these things but I do know I have read a lot about those not being something most guys recommend.

Plus I think those get pricy as well ... an from what I have seen I may look into something like the Comp-Tac paddle holster if I were to spend more.

Anyone use the Blade-tech?

About the price I was looking to spend ... the Comp-tac of course looks much better with padded inside paddle etc. but it's about 3 times the price of the blade-tech (35 bucks vs. 80 bucks)

I have seen some of negatives about them. In those cases, I'd have to agree, it sucks. I may have been lucky and gotten a good one, had mine almost 4 years now with heavy use and abuse( both at the range, and in the yard/woods ) and have not had a single issue with it. To each, their own I say- if you don't like it, don't buy it!!! :geek::laughing:

I find my Comp Tac paddle holster very comfortable with my M&P Pro 9 CORE but since you will not be running or doing any fast paced activities when answering the door just use the "Mexican" carry of slipping the gun into your waistband with your shirt tail over it. No expense and you can remove it when you step back inside your home.
