I recently took this M&P on trade and it seems to be OD green from the factory. What I mean is the frame in the inside matches and it looks too good to be a DuraCoat or ceracoat job. Anyone have any ideas. I've never seen one before like this. Thanks for the help.
Welcome from Texas! Smith offers a colored frame on the 45, the V-TAC, and an exclusive for Cabelas, but they're all FDE, not OD. Can't say what's up for sure, but I do like it.
Thanks for the welcomes. After I detail stripped the pistol it does appear to be duracoated or ceracoated. Its just a really nice job and it through me for a loop. Thanks again for the replies and welcomes.
I just painted mine. Took netting and layed on there and spayed away( same with mt AR)....lol The problem is, now, everything's brown and tan, so it sticks out like a neon sign...lo So now I have to strip it and repaint it.
Looks like they someone did it right. A good looking pistol and rare in this FDE time and age!
