I've got a M&P 9mm vtac and a 40c, that I'll be buying them for.
They're about half the price of the s&w mags. I'll be using them for plinking, but still don't want to have a lot of issues.

And that should say ProMag, not pmag!

I didn't realize they they made M&P mags, but they do make good quality mags for AR's, and I haven't heard anything negative about their mags for Glocks.

I'd be willing to give them a try.

Friends don't let friends buy Promag...

If Magpul ever brings out a mag for the M&P I'll be one of the first in line!

Garbage. Anyone who tells you different is just defending the fact that they bought them and want to feel less ashamed.

I have 2 Walther P99 Pro-mags, a pair of 17s and a 32. They work, but have issues. Granted they were bought before September 2004 when I had to make ends meet to find something that held more than 10rds, but I've acquired 4 factory 15's for that gun since then, and the pro-mags rarely get used. The 32rd, I sent back 3 times before I got one that would even cycle 2 in a row. With it being the gimmick that it is, it get used once every few years maybe.

For like $10-15 difference, I'd never again buy another Pro-mag for any reason. And I don't really carry nor hold my life in the hands of a magazine, I just shoot steel plates in the backyard. And they still aren't good enough for that.

My 2 cents, I picked up a 10 Round Pro Mag for my 9mm Shield! The only problem I have had was the first few time I would load the mag the follower would stick at round 3 or 4.. Pushed it up a down a few times and it is now ok, Must have been a small burr! Would I trust the Pro Mag for my CCW ? Nope . From what I read they had issue in the past! Maybe all better now but I will stick to OEM for SD! After 500+ rounds Ill post my review on the PM. but 100 rounds all is good :) FYI If I had any problems with it I have no problem saying so :)

I live in a ban state, so I tried some out because they use full length bodies, unlike the factory 10 round mags, and I wanted to put basepads on them to work with a magwell.

The magazines themselves actually function fairly well, however the quality control is poor and I had to make several modifications to the magazines in order to get them to work with the basepads, lock into the mag catch, etc. The springs are on the weak side, and the followers are not consistent in size.

Buy the factory mags.

I just ordered a S&W 15 rd .40 cal magazine from Midway. I was tempted to buy 2 ProMags, but I read that they didn't work well in the compact and the spring was weak. Some said they had to file/cut material to get them to fit. Others said that you really have to slam them into the mag well to get them to engage. I don't want to deal with FTF's or FTE's. I've never had either, so it's worth the extra cash to get a magazine that's reliable.
