Conversion from 40 S&W to 38 Super or 357 SIG

Hello all,
Anyone done either of these conversions and can these be done with a barrel and magazine change? I have a ProCORE in 40 and have the 9mm Storm Lake barrel and S&W mags in 9mm. Just wondered about another conversion.
Thanks in advance.
Jim

The 40 to 357 Sig conversion can be done with nothing but a barrel change. Your 40 magazines are good with 357 Sig. I have a 357 barrel for my FS40 and everything works as designed.

I have a full size M&P 40 caliber. I bought the 357 sig barrel (factory S&W) from midway and it works perfectly. Offhand at 10 yard, it appears to be more consistent/accurate than the gun with the 40 barrel. Don't know if it is me or the gun/barrel combo? I put a wolfff 24 pound recoil spring in the gun with the 357 barrel and it still throws the brass over 6 feet away. Just bought the 357 sig barrel for my M&P compact. Have not tried it yet, but I'm expecting similar results.

38 super is typically too long for a frame designed around 9mm/40S&W.
39 super can often be an option for a frame designed around 45acp.

38 Super and a 10 mm would be great creations for the M&P 45 frame.

M&P 10mm sounds addicting...
