I appreciate your opinion, and understand the logic. I take the Taurus to the range each time I go and have fired almost 1000 rounds through it without a single misfire. I do get "fliers" about one in 30, but it holds 12+1. It also has a safety and a gun lock that prevents the slide or the trigger from moving when engaged. I'm not a LEO or a veteran, and I prefer to carry safely.

I keep my S&W handy, no telling when I might run into a bigger catapult.

Thanks for the response.

I was given an M&P Shield by my uncle who wanted something smaller to carry. After shooting it, I immediately had to have a full size in 40 SW, and put a new M2.0 in 9mm with a 5" barrel on order. These go with my full size XD in 40 SW and a XD Tactical 9mm 5". Can't wait to shoot the M2.0 when it finally gets here. Only been one week but it feels like a month waiting for it.

My new M&P 9mm M2.0. Now 300 rounds through my new M&P that include 50 rounds of my carry ammunition with no problems. Great pistol.

Got a Shield in .40, then a FS 40 and added the .357 barrel to the mix, and last month picked up a M&P 15 Sport on the cheap just because. That will be the end of my M&P line, but just because I like a variety. Though I dont own, and will never own a Glock - sorry, just not for me. And I still have nothing Colt - and probably won't, because it seems I can always find something that I think is better for less $$$. Really like everything about the M&P line though.

I'm an equal opportunity gun lover! I own Sig, HK, S&W, and Glock with equal enthusiasm ... well ... the only Glocks I really own and like are the 10mm models.

I'm getting into the phase of "Not Much Impresses Me" and have started collecting 'Micro' and 'Mouse' guns. I have several Baby Brownings, Colt Mustangs, and Sig 938 and 238s in this category right now ... and ... seriously looking at a Bodyguard to carry in the next couple of weeks.

I have come full circle back to the M&P since going off course last year. I now run with a 40 Pro that I swap back and for with a 9mm Storm Lake barrel for comp, and a 2.0 for carry. At this point I just keep a 9mm 1911 around for competing single stack...

Full M&P - Closer...

So, I sold my Kimber Ultra CDP and got a Smith Shield .45 to which I added an Apex Blue Line trigger/action kit, night sights, polished barrel, very happy with the result.

Then, I traded my Dan Wesson Specialist (got a nice chunk of cash back, too!) and got a Performance Center C.O.R.E. Full Size .40 caliber with a ported barrel, put a Streamlight TLR-2G laser/light on it, and will be putting an Apex Blue Line trigger/action kit and night sights on it. With the ported barrel it shoots like a 9mm, VERY happy with my first ported barrel!

Not quite full M&P, still have my Sig P938 and a Ruger LCP II, keeping both of them (for now!), but very happy with the Smiths...

Frank, how do you like the M2.0 45... is it pretty accurate with bulk ammo...?

PaPow, so far I'm really liking the m2.0 in both my 9mm and especially in the 45. This may sound crazy but when I'm shooting my m2.0 I forget it's a 45 because of the soft recoil. It's primarily my night stand pistol so most of my shooting has been in the 7 to 12 yard range. When taking my time I have no problem holding some tight groups. With rapid double and triple taps center mass on silhouette targets, let's just say I would not want to be that target. Coming from a Glock background I find the M&P in my hands a lot more accurate than I ever was with Glocks. The m2.0 45 is a lot of fun to shoot, were my 9mm is just boring. So far zero issues with any ammunition I've put through any of my M&P's. Take care my friend and stay safe.

As i suspected...lol. Reason i asked, i have a glock 30S (45) and i never liked the grip on it. To fat, and the mag has a big gap between the mag base and frame that pinch`s my little finger, have gotten blood blisters just about every friggen time i would shoot it. I only keep it as a nightstand weapon, but i just dont see any reason to keep it when there are far better fitting guns in my hand. Not to mention, i have spent the extra money for a barrel for it just to shoot reloads out of it. For a gun that already cost`s $600+, then another $200 for a barrel just to shoot reloads, ridiculous. So i`m looking to maybe unload the 30S and try the m2.0 45. I just wanna do my homework on the m2.0 45 before i pull the trigger on buying one. I`m sure i would be happier with the m2.0 in 45 over this painful glock 30S i have. I bought a shield 45, and believe it or not, the recoil is way less than the glock 30S...!!! So the fullsize m2.0 in 45 should be even sweeter on the recoil than the 30S, and by a far margin at that...!!! I believe that it would be more accurate than the 30S too. Thank you Frank, i value your opinion... you stay safe to brother.

The m2.0 (45) should be a sweet gun in compact size... might wait for that to hit the shelves then buy that one too.
