M&P22 recoil spring
I have heard that I should change my M&P22 recoil spring after 5000 rounds. I've run 6700 rds thru and have been looking on internet for replacement with no joy.
Is S&W the only source for these? What pound rating does it use?

Yours probably will go quite a bit longer. I have 3 with at least 20K+ rounds thru them each. I change them if the cycling slows down for no other apparent reason.
As you can see a new spring is 5.5"; at 20k rounds it's about 1" shorter. There are no published recommendations regarding expected cycle life for the spring; order them from S&W, they are inexpensive.
