I held an FDE 9mm at my LGS and I did not get that 'Got to have it!' feeling. The trigger is better than the gen 1s, but it is still nothing like an Apex upgrade. Also, the texture of the grip may actually be too aggressive for some people. I may be biased, since I own a PC Core with full Apex upgrades, but just wanted to provide my 2 cents.

Not many people are going to disagree with you, i know i sure dont. I had 2 of them M2.0`s come in that i ordered, i turned them both down... i wasn`t at all impressed with the M2.0. Seconds later, they were sold to the people behind me waiting in line for them. Lets just say shiny new paint isnt everything these days.

Just left the SHOT show and got back to the hotel.
Spent a couple minutes with the 2.0. Color me underwhelmed, unimpressed and unenamored.

This coming from an M&P fan with 8 pistols in the stable currently.

Thought I was going to do some upgrading to the 2.0 on a couple but now I don't think so. Probably upgrade to the new P320RX.

Now don't you guys make me have buyers remorse!!! So far so good with my 2.0. I like the rough grips, I didn't at first but no problem now. I like the trigger, I feel it's good for a stock trigger on a striker fired pistol. I love the way it feels and fits

Never worry what others think or like or dislike, what matters is that YOU are happy with it.

I tried to make the point in my video that there is nothing particularly wrong with the 2.0. It just doesn't blow you away as being overwhelmingly better than the original design. If someone has an M&P they're happy with, I don't think there are enough upgrades in the 2.0 to make it worth trading (although the new grip texture comes close!). On the other hand, if someone purchases a 2.0 they are getting a pistol that is at least as good as the original design (which is pretty high praise in itself); and they get a better grip out of the deal. So I don't think you should have any remorse. I have the 2.0 9mm in my holster as I type this, and I don't feel like I'm making a mistake by having it there.

Any ideas on if/when this will influence or appear with CORE, or possibly SHIELD updates?

I`ll play the devils advocate here... you`ll see them soon...
and they`ll come from the performance center for sure.

I`m waiting to buy the new M2.0 PC 9L Ported.
Friend of mine sent me a couple pics of one already.
Wish i could post it here, but i`m not allowed too...sorry

Just picked up my M&P 9mm 2.0 yesterday. Cleaned it, lubed it then shot it. Great shooter just like my 9 & 45 Shield.

I put a M&P 9mm - M2.0 w/5" barrel on order with my local shop last week. Anybody know how fast or slow it's taking SW to ship the new models. My shop said they had no idea when it would be in.

If your LGS`s supplier has it, maybe about week turnaround.

Grip is more to my liking! Much more texture for positive engagement. Trigger is much better but not perfect IMHO.

I got one, not real happy with the trigger, there is no spring kits out yet or any aftermarket sears out..
the trigger has a bit too much travel for me,

Harley & Ropy... that was the main reasons i turned down the ones i had ordered... terrible triggers in both guns.
I`m hoping that the PC 5inch ported M2.0 will be a leap ahead of the standard M2.0`s when it arrives.
