Regardless if using punch-hammer or dedicated sight pusher, before attempting to install your sight make sure it is close to fitting the dove tail ! Gunsmith commandment: Always modify the least expensive or most readily available part first. In this instance, use a stone or file to prep the sight for introduction into the dovetail. Below illustrates a S&W front sight, however the principles apply to installation of any fitted sight.

I have a new 2.0 5in model and i think i would like to try a fiber optic front sight. I have heard they have excellent customer service and they look like a quality piece. Thank You for the advice.
What size front sight are you looking at? I'm also looking to change the front sight on my M&P M2.0 5" to Dawson fiber optic.

(Choose Sight Height & Notch Width Below: .245" Tall x .145" Notch Width Serrated (Requir...)

1 x Dawson Precision S&W M&P Fiber Optic Front Sights
(Choose Sight Height & Width Below: .180" Tall x .100" Wide Patridge Serrated)

Ditto`s on the Dawson quality... unmatched by any in my honest opinion.

I have not used their rear sights at all. I have only used the fronts. Call Dawson, they will answer all your questions.

I just installed a set of Dawsons on my M&P Pro replacing the stock Novaks. Tested with about 100 rounds and sighted in. Shooting it this weekend in USPSA.

Dawson Precision S&W M&P and M&P Core Fiber Optic Front / Black Rear Sights

Front - .180" Tall x .090" Wide
Rear - .245" Tall x .125" Notch Width

Not sure if the pictures really help but here goes. I definitely noticed more precision during dryfire. Hope it translates well during a stage run.
