Had mine for a few years now, It really shoots well. Silver dollar sized groups at a little over twenty feet with a full ten round magazine. I really love mine.

I have one that I like very well. It is one of my home defense pistols.

It may cost a little more to shoot but I think my full size M&P 45 is a great home defense gun where I don't want great barrier penetration.

first let me say this about myself I love the 45acp but since I seen this 2.0 in 9mm I started having more thoughts about what to buy. I have a walther ppq in 9mm great gun but it never hurts to 2nd handgun.

Stick around, this IS a great forum. Take into some consideration that most people dont live on the forums. There is alot of great information here. Some really smart helpful guys/gals here.

If your looking for a huge amount of participation, go to the glock sites, they have tons of ego`s & braggers over there, just ask them, they`ll gang up on you with all their glock ego`s. Thats actually why i left the glock community... i got sick of all the g-fanboy attitudes.

The information on this site is very good. But yes, the participation rate is on the slower side. Keep in mind, that the 45 M&P's are likely a small minority of the M&P's being sold, so therefore the number of folks contributing will also be smaller.

Do you know how much wider the M&P FS 45 frame is compared to the M&P 9mm FS frame?

Found Police Trade Ins at AIM surplus for $350. They are the full sized grip model with the 4" barrel.
Received mine yesterday. It was in good shape but whoever kept their weapon that filthy at Durham NC PD should have their A*& kicked. I've spent time in war and not seen a weapon left that dirty. It was bad. Underneath all of the gunk was a great condition pistol though. A little elbow grease and I've got a good one.

Just so you understand that the difference is very slight. This is my Shield, my 9 & my 45 all in the same holster.

Unlike Glock and others, the full size M&P 45 cal. frames are no wider than the full size 9 mm or 40 cal. frames. The M&P 45 fits the hand the same way. The trade off for the great ergonomics in the 45 is a 10 round magazine which is acceptable to me.
