S&W Performance Center Sear in Full Size M&P 45 1.0
I just measured the trigger pull weight on my otherwise stock Full Size M&P 45 1.0 with the S&W Performance Sear installed and it measured right at 5.5 lbs as compared to the original horrible 8 plus lb standard trigger (gun built July 2014) The nub on the trigger bar that engages the still standard striker block has also been polished but has no effect on the trigger pull weight with the PC sear installed (the polishing does affect the smoothness of the trigger uptake/pre-travel). The shape of the PC sear causes the trigger bar loop to engage the PC sear later than with the standard sear so that the striker block has already been pushed up before the trigger bar loop starts to engage the sear. For a defensive pistol I have this trigger right where I want it with a crisp break which isn't too heavy or too light, with no over-travel and with a short reset. The only thing that I might do to make the trigger uptake/pre-travel even smoother is to install the more rounded Performance Center Striker Block or the Apex Ultimate Striker Block. As with all M&P 45s, the reset isn't very audible or tactile, neither of which would make any difference to me in an emergency situation.
