I here a lot of people commenting on the 6.5# triggers, how about the MA compliant 10# triggers.

Well, I am planning to send my M&P 40c for a Burwell trigger job, which from what I here is fine until I ever (NOT) went to sell it. Supposedly, I would have to bring it back into compliance. Which brings me to my question, after having it Burwelled, is there a 10# drop in trigger assembly available for purchase, if ever needed.

Thanks,

Tony

I can't speak for Dan but (possibly for an increased price) I'm sure he could return all of your original parts.

No legal problem selling it with a trigger job! It's only that the dealers in MA can't sell a NEW gun unless it has a horrendous trigger.

There are also 3 good M&P gunsmiths in MA, so depending on where you are you might take that into consideration.

- Mike LaRocca in Worcester,

- Greg Derr in Marshfield - he just did my M&P 9 and 45 (5-5.5# trigger now)

- Dave Santurri in No. Attleboro - he did my M&P 9c for the prior owner (4.5-5# trigger)

The outrageous cost to ship guns via UPS/FedEx is what convinced me to go locally. The trigger jobs on both FS M&Ps cost me less than shipping (RT) would have been to send them to Dan Burwell and get them returned!

Thanks Todd, that was fast. I was just trying to think of any garbage repercussions before I had any work done to it. Too many Manufacturing requirements up here, I'm glad we can still buy S&W.

Again Thanks,

Tony

Just wanted to add that S&W will do an action job on the M&P.. Only thing is if it has the wonderful Mass. trigger

and you are in Mass. they won't touch it..Too bad for me as the factory would be the closest place to get the fix..

I believe Smith charges $100 or $125 for the action job plus shipping both ways of coarse..

Haven't heard anyone comment on how it turned out so I guess if interested you must take a chance..
