Hitch in initial trigger pull. What's causing this or is it normal?

I installed an Apex sear on my M&P and had a gunsmith radius my striker block. I'm not sure if this is normal because it was so long since I paid attention to the factory trigger, and the only other M&P I have access to is my friend's, but he has all the Apex goodies installed.

What happens is that during the initial trigger pull, there is a distinct hitch or hang up (with an audible click). The gun functions fine, and I've ran about 300 rounds through it with an issue. But I do want to fix the issue if it's not normal. Here's a video of it:

It looks like in your video your trigger safety (backside) is catching the frame ever so slightly? Don't know what your gunsmith did to the striker block plunger, but the Apex USB gets rid of all crunchiness.

When you do the function check on the sear (slide removed) is it working properly? See the apex video to verify this.

I had left an online message at Apex, and they called me this morning over the phone and gave me a detailed explanation of what was happening. I totally didn't notice the trigger safety (as mentioned above) and all it took was a slight adjustment of my finger placement to fix it. I guess I was just so used to placing the pad of my finger right in the middle of the trigger, which apparently is too high on the M&P

Talking Good info

I had the exact same issue after installing all of the APEX comp parts. It really didn't bother me much, but that is good info I will try adjusting my finger placement on the trigger.
