It may seem that way, but it's actually pretty comfortable. It carries the same as any of my full size, steel framed 1911's. I guess a great belt is key.

Considering his state of residence, I would guess not. Same here in VA, open carry is completely legal so I couldn't care less about a little printing. I'm sure its different out there in California
