Nice! I'm starting to love these M&P series guns. I wish I could carry this as a primary instead of the Glock. I tossed out my Glock 26 for a Shield 9 and love it.

Like my S&W-try a Glock?

Hmm. Having never fired a Glock, I was thinking of renting one next range visit to compare the two. Bought my S&W 3yrs ago and enjoy shredding paper. Never had any issues except with can of store-bought reloads which I returned & replaced. (My reloads work!) Had difficulty focusing on front dot sight so replaced them with Speedsight's diamonds. Not pretty but does the job.

I like the Glock, I've always carried one. They shoot great, durable, and all around a good gun. The S&W (I think) just feels great in the hand, trigger feels great too.

Enjoy the 9mm! I regret trading mine in (for a M&P45C which I love). I enjoyed the fullsize frame so much that I bought an M&P40 full size.

Throw a Hogue grip on there man! With the Hogue installed it feels like you're holding a million bucks...

I have several M&P's and am a glock disliker but I own a g22 so that I can tell everyone that I don't like it and I have one to compare.

just ergonomics not much difference otherwise

Rented Glock 17 to compare with my MP 9 & sure appreciate my MP! Both shot accurately but trigger pull on Glock was fierce. Ran 100 rounds of new, range reloads & my reloads. Glock jammed last round, MP shot everything clean. Weight seemed equal with Glock slightly heavier. Better grip feel on MP. I realize that my 3 year relationship with my M&P and a one-time range rental may not be a true comparison but sure let some air out of the Glock balloon.

Various feedbacks, I find the Glock trigger to be superior out the box, however both have outstanding ergonomics, reliability, accuracy and durability. I have a G3 22 on lay a way right now.

Of all the weapons Ive owned and shot, the M&P and Glock have a top tier level IMHO, I even found either to be better than Sig and FNH, and that is saying a lot.

If you're asking me about the 1911's; Wilson Combat Professional Model factory trigger is 3 3/4 pound pull.

Les Baer Custom Carry Comanche factory pull is an even 4 pounds.

The Covington Devils Lace Damascus Bowie with IWB sheath is very well balanced, and extremely fast.

I also have several M&P's with various levels of Apex parts installed with trigger pulls ranging from 2 pounds seven ounces to 5 1/2 pounds in a full stock pistol.

The rest of my 1911's trigger pulls range from 3 1/2 to 5 pounds.

I've been working with 1911's for over 25 years, and M&P's for 8 years.
