Hey all,

Decided that I am going to switch my factory sights ASAP to Warren Tacticals; however I cannot decide between the 2 dot or 3 dot models. Ive been shooting 3-dot sights on handguns exclusively for the last 10 years (my entire living with a handgun life). I shoot pretty well at defensive ranges (7-10y anyway) when I do the trigger thing right.

I will admit that with the standard factory Novaks, the rear sight with the HUGE white dots is distracting; however I don't recall ever having too much difficulty finding the front sight as much as I have with these HUGE dot Novak.. did I mention they are HUGE?

My MP9 will be one of my main CCW/SD/HD handguns and probably IDPA if I ever get into that (I have little ambition to be an IDPA master). Anyway I am leaning heavily toward the 3 dots just to keep with whats familiar for my horizontal brain, but there is a sliver of doubt after reading ToddG's posts and others who've tried and loved the 2-dots for its speed.

Thanks for helping.

Just installed the rear Warren with the single tritium dot and left the factory Trijicon on the front...making it two dots.

I love it. It's a MUCH cleaner picture than the factory Novaks.

Just my $0.02

I use the factory front night sight with a Burwell rear night sight, with a single lamp, that I really like. Having said that, if you like a three-dot setup, the Warrens might be ideal for you. I think they're setup like the two-dots...a green lamp with a white outline in the front and two smaller yellow lamps, without outlines, in the rear.

I have been using warren two dot for a while now and I really like them. It does seem a little odd but the first time to the range I really loved them. The rear dot is smaller and in good light when you are focusing on the front sight the rear dot almost dissapears. In low light it is very easy and quick to line up.

I'm batteling with this decision as well.

How's the 2-dot on stances similar to CAR where the dots won't be completely vertical?

It's really a personal choice, whatever you like.

Single dot front for me.

I put on Novak plain rear and single dot front that is red FO.

Focus on front sight with target slightly fuzzy...

Not sure, but you may want to search CAR on this forum and check out some reviews and opinions by board members in the business.

Naterstein: If you're going to definitely change the rear, why not get some black tape and cover the existing dots, paint a single dot under the rear notch and see what you think. It's not ideal, but beats wasting money on shipping and product.

In my opinion you want the rear sight plain black so my vote goes to 1 dot

the front sight should be tritium on a carry pistol

plain black Warrens are good I like plain black 10-8s real well also

I put a hi-viz front and a plain Warren tactical rear on my M&P but I just ordered a set of 2-dot Warren night sights.... I just like the way the 2-dot sights are set up and the look of the sight picture.
