The HiViz work well.

HiViz hasn't offered them on their website for almost a year. Product # used to be SW2007 with a "G" code for green or "R" for red.

You may be still be able to find them online.

I have one installed on a M&P full size trainer.

I just installed them last week on the front sight of my M&P22 FS . It sure makes it easier to see the front sight for me anyway.

HiViz

I have a HiViz front sight on my FS MP9.

Blacked out rear.

Really helps ancient eyes at IDPA & USPSA matches.

Mine is green by the way.

Before the HiViz I painted the front sight red first then bright green.

Left white dots on rear and that combo was an improvement.

Experiment a little.

Good Luck

Take a look at what Wilson Combat offers of the S&W.

In fact, most of my M&P's have HiViz.

Dawson sights are an equally good alternative; make sure you get the 0.160" height if it is for a MP full size.

I had a coworker put Trijicon HD sights on my Shield and they're the best I've seen, in my opinion. I bought the ones with the bright Orange front sight. During the day and low light that orange dot really stands out, you can't help but focus on the front sight. At night they're like your regular 3 dot tritium sights.

I did have to adjust the rear sight after as it seemed to shooting very high after installing the hi-viz sight . I adjusted the rear sight as far as it would go

I know you are interested on HiViz, but this ones did the trick on my very first M&P.

They now have a new model with interchangeable colors.
HIVIZ® Shooting Systems | Manufacturing high quality firearm fiber optic and tritium sights » LITEWAVE? Interchangeable Front Sight for Smith and Wesson M&P Full Size, Compact, and Shield

I have one of their originals on both my 40 and 45 fs M&Ps and love them. Hiviz is a stand up company also. I had an issue with the sight on my 45 and they replaced it free and gave me a deal on another for my 40. They also installed them free of charge.

A little late finding this thread but FWIW, the HiViz front sight that came on my 9 Pro 5" was .180" tall and pistol shot low. I replaced it with a Dawson at .160" tall which corrected my POI vs POA issue. I prefer the Dawson with recessed fiber in red over the HiViz protruding green.

I have the HI-VIZ green on my front post. I like it a lot over the stock post. You still have to have some light to activate it. Be safe and have fun.
