I guess you didn't read the copy at the bottom where it says:

NOT recommended to duty/carry applications

That product is intended for competition use and not considered safe for daily carry or concealed carry.

I wouldn't use that kit for a carry weapon. I would, however, highly recommend the Apex duty/carry spring/sear/striker block kit combined with their polymer enhanced action trigger. Its not a flat face but it a very nice trigger as compared to the factory version.

Apex Tactical's webpage for the trigger has this video embedded on the page: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzfR1E9Uh38

"For those interested in personal defense or carry the flat face forward set will provide a trigger pull in the range of 4-5 pounds which is in the accepted norm."
"We've already seen SWAT teams from around the country embrace our forward set trigger .. now they have the opportunity to experience a trigger on a whole new level."
- Randy Lee, President Apex Tactical

"... making this kit ideal for competition, recreation, or self-defense applications."
- Scott Folk, VP Apex Tactical

Unless you get stupid with the spring weights there is nothing inherently wrong with the flat-face forward-set trigger kit for self-defense. I personally chose the black colored trigger (100-054) instead of the red one.

Goe to this page: https://store.apextactical.com/WebDi...Details/191840

This is the M&P Full Size 45 Duty Carry Action Kit.

What It Does
The Apex 45 Duty/Carry Action Enhancement Kit is engineered to provide the M&P 45 pistol owner a smooth, consistent 5.0 to 5.5 lbs. trigger pull with the advantages of shorter over-travel and shortened trigger reset. All of the components work together to provide a pull weight within the acceptable range for a top end, service pistol. The kit itself is designed to be drop-in and should not require further gunsmithing, however, armorer or gunsmith installation is recommended.

Expected Results
Reduces over-travel
Smooths trigger pull
Keeps pistol at a safe 5-5.5 lb trigger pull weight for Duty/Carry applications

My everyday carry has this and it's fine, I've actually considered going even lighter.

-Safety is no accident, unless you accidentally leave the safety on when you intend to shoot.

+1. I'm running one too at about a 4.5 lb trigger pull. I have no concerns.

My carry M&P's and 1911's have trigger pulls from 3 1/4 - 4 1/2 pounds.

My "range" M&P has a two pound seven ounce pull.
