holster cant

I was playing around with my IWB Alien Gear Cloak 3.0. I carry at about 3:30 - 4:00. I dropped the front clip down about an inch, and the rear up about an inch. This si past where you could normally mount the clips...so they aren't clipped but 1 inch above and 1 inch below the belt. Just to try it. It became so comfortable, even driving in the truck it was so nice. I checked the draw, and I can get a great purchase on the grip before drawing, and the draw is more horizontal, rather then vertical and they horizontal. I could see someone covering themselves if they didn't practice it, but very easy to make sure you don't. I have ordered an Alien Gear cloak, to modify and check it out further...seems very good for me at least.

I haven't seen this anywhere, so I'm thinking maybe it's just me, and it's not great for most people? Anyone tried or seen anything like this?

I say I haven't seen it anywhere, but I didn't spend a lot of time looking for it specifically, so if I missed it my apologies.

I never much trouble with the draw with various cants, but I've found that for 3 oclock (approx.) carry the cant has a large effect on printing. I get minimum printing with the cant such that end of the grip is directly over the muzzle, vertically. Less cant and the butt seems to protrude. Anyone else notice this? I use Crossbreed holsters in the Combat Cut with horsehide backing, as I find the cowhide gets too supple with extended use, and inhibits reholstering. For the Shield I use their MiniTuck, again in horsehide. For the Crossbreeds I usually start with the loops adjusted to place the top of the kydex parallel to the belt.
