(Question) ProMag 9rnd Shield40 & 10rnd Shield9 mags
I'm wanting a higher capacity magazine for my shield.
I have a shield .40 but I am looking into a conversion to 9mm (not a matter I'm wishing to discuss in this thread! Please respect that).
As such, I am looking for honest reviews on the Promag magazines mentioned above.
I've heard they need a little bit of DIY to fit the gun well, which I'm okay with.
I understand they have a horrible reputation, and it is a bit hit/miss whether the magazine will work properly.
Is this both for the .40 and the 9mm series?
Is there anyone here who actively USES them, and can report on their feeding reliability? Most reviewers say they tossed them in the trash after trying (and failing) to get them to work, but I'm assuming there has to be a few satisfied costumers out there.
Has anyone had any experience with sending them back to the factory? The magazines come with a lifetime warranty, so someone must have tried this.
Can someone explain the process step for step and tell me how their experience was? The wait time etc.?
Can anyone give me reasonable alternatives to higher capacity magazine solutions for the shield 40&9?
Not looking to go above 10 rounds, and I have nothing against pinky extensions, but they're nothing I'm particularly looking for.

I have a Promag 10 round for my shield 9mm.
I've had it for a bout a year and 1/2. I use it quite a bit on the range and used to carry
it on my belt as a back up mag, but I've changed over to the MagGuts +2 kits.
It turns your 8 round into a ten , or your 7 round into a 9.
I have several of them and I've had zero issues with them so far.
hey only add a bout a 1/4" to the length of the mag so it's quite a bit smaller than
I'd go this route instead of the promag, I can carry 10+1 with 10 on the
blet in a single stack................not too shabby.
