In your video, towards the end, the barrel is perhaps 1/16 of an inch forward of the breech face when it is jammed in place. Try pulling it to the rear against the breech face as you lift it out. If not all the way back it is prone to lodge especialy with fresh cut machined corners. I believe they limber up some over time as various square cut corners become slightly rounded. One item limiting how far to the rear you can pull the barrel is the extractor. You might be able to provide a bit of relief by pressing the rear of the extractor inward pivoting it out of the way slightly.

If all else fails call S&W as others have recommended.

Re sending back gun;ask them to email you the return shipping label. Speeds up the process.
Just tried doing this on my old 9c.
Try lifting the rear end of barrel a bit and then move it about 1/4" towards front of slide so the lug at rear end of barrel clears the extractor.

Good point.

This has been bugging me all night. Have you tried lubing the barrel bushing (for lack of a better term) and then removing the barrel?

Will try that again. But I'm not physically seeing any play on anything when the barrel becomes stuck. Maybe its just extremely tight machining like you said.

Even when breech clears the extractor, the front of the barrel becomes stuck in the slide.

Too many QC problems with S&W. No more S&W's for me. I just bought a Glock G17 and a G22 Gen 4.

With Glock you get the problems caused by their poor design.

Of all the M&Ps out there, Ive seen only a few problems, and its been on the enternets... Daughter and mine, our M&Ps have been rock solid out the box...

S&W cust svc has been great from what I read, I got some frame blanks for where I removed the thumb safety on mine... call went well and parts were shipped fast..

I figure as long as I dont run over hot rounds our M&P should live a long and happy life...

No M&P problems from my first back in 07.

I've owned five different Glocks at different times; you couldn't give me one.
