Unusual frame damage or normal wear?

Unusual frame damage or normal wear?

Should I be concerned with this wear? The pistol was built in 08/14 and purchased 01/15 with 1000rds fired through it to date.

That's called the dust cover on a pistol, it isn't a functional part of the pistol, so IMHO I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks.... I've heard that term but never new its relation to a pistol.
