Thumb safety

Can the thumb safety from a M&P40 be put on a M&P45?

Ill say right off, subject to error, but no... the physical dimensions of the 9 and 40 are the same, the 9/40 and the 45 are different, the 45 is a larger frame and I suspect a larger block AFAIK..

Looking for validation or correction..

Do you have a gunsmith nearby?

Ask the Smith to look up the part numbers to see if they are different.
