I went through this as well. When I first got my FS .40 and then my shield 9MM I was shooting low to the right with both of them (I'm left handed)
I had the triggers done on both of them (Ma compliant 10 pound pulls ...yuck) down to 5.5 pulls and I noticed I was shooting far more accurately.
I was snapping my wrist down and in with each trigger pull (that's how heavy the pull is on these Ma compliant things).
Now much better, so "squeezing my entire strong hand) with each trigger pull.
I still do it occasionally but I am far more aware of it now.
