Took the Shield for a spin

With the heat coming on down here, and daylight hanging around past 8:00, I decided to take my Shield 40 shootin yesterday evening. Flawless as usual, (the gun, not me). I threw a little bit of everything in it, 7 - 165 Speer GD, 8 - 165 American Eagle, 38 - 165 Freedom, and 50 - 180 Magtech. The Magtech was the first 180 gr stuff I've ever shot in it, and it handled and shot better than anything else. That pushed my round count to about 425 since I got it a few months ago, and couldn't be happier. On a side note, I shot my last two mags one handed, strong and weak, and was way better weak. I know its a small sample, probably just luck, but something I'm going to explore a little more next time out.

2 thoughts?

You likely focused harder and made a better trigger press weak handed. Possibly you were sloppier and faster strong handed.

Or... You're right-handed and left-eyed (or visa-verse).

Do you shoot at Fayette County Gun Club? Just curious. I am a member there and that is where I shoot most of the time.

Only go there for daughters 4-H shooting club. The only time I shot there was for CHL qualification. We shoot on family land outside of Giddings, nothing fancy, but its always open, and the price is right.

First thought sounds about right. That just means more practice, dang it.

Congrats on everything running flawlessly. That's always a good report to hear how others shields are running without hiccups. I know I enjoy mine every time I get to go. It actually inspired me to by a fs. Then of course that one inspired me to buy the compact.
