Wife and I Dueling at the Range

My wife and I had a good day at the range. We're both shooting much more consistently (see pics at 9 yards, wife's on left, black bullseye are same size) but still have work to do: every shot in that 4" circle at 9 yards at speed would be fine to IDPA or Steel Challenge. We're both at the 7-8/10 and it's all about trigger pull.

I found a local welder who is fabricating some steel target mounts that we can take to a steel range we frequent. The range only permits lead bullets, but I'll start reloading next week so we should have a lot of fun over the "winter" (I'm in CA) getting faster. The nice thing about these mounts is they ride on a steel rod that we drive into the ground and are height adjustable; we'll see how it works out: pictures when they're ready. The range is use for "cowperson" competitions and has a large number of targets, but most are much too big for what we're working on; the steel targets I bought are mostly 5" which look pretty small at 12 yards or so.

We're getting there. 10/10 in a 4" circle at 15 yards would be as good as I need for either HD or competition. Those errant trigger pulls are killers, but we've really cut down on the number the first target blues.
