Talking Shield 9 at the range

So the Mrs. and I spent Sunday at the range practicing for our qualifications for our CCW.

The picture below was from the 7.5 yard range. The top target was from my Shield 9 and the bottom target my SP2022. I'm pretty happy with the results.

Very nice -- how do you like the SP2022? It gets a lot of good reviews.

Looks like you have avoided the Shield low left syndrome we hear about.

Good job.

Nice shooting , glad your enjoying it .
Might be picking one up from LGS there running a sale 369 with 2 extra mags and a box of ammo.

The 2022 is my "go to" gun and my favorite of the small collection I have. I'm very glad I own it. It's been very reliable and fairly accurate. It does take a back seat to the P220 though, for accuracy.

Good job.
My Shield seems to shoot just a little high at this distance, so, I did have to adjust from the traditional "combat" sight to a "pumpkin on a post" sight to get the results above. If you look, you can see a bunch of high shots that were made prior to adjusting my sight picture.

Thanks everybody for the compliments, they're much appreciated. See you at the range. Paul

Nice shooting! I qualified for my CHL almost 2 weeks ago and I did OK but nothing like that. I think you are ready.

slayer61, I was just curious what kind of shooting you have to do to qualify for your CCW. You don't have your state listed but in Texas we shoot 20 rounds at 3 yards, 20 rounds at 7 yards, and 10 rounds at 15 yards. I just wondered how other states do it and if the qualification is similar.

Shield 9 at the range

Nice, I've got one of each of those, too!

Here's my ccw qual, but it was with my XD Service. Didn't have the Shield at the time.

You guys have to take a range test to get a conceal carry permit? I'd be screwed... I can't hit the broad side of a barn.
