For an M&P, Glock or similar I use either FP-10 or G96....no need for anything heavier. On 1911/2011's I use Slide Glide Lite and if it's cold I'll put a drop or two of FP-10 in a couple of places to lighten up the SG. R,

Wow good stuff I wrote them a e-mail and got the 1oz tube today. Took my M&P 9c apart cleaned the barrel with wipe-out hosed out the lower frame with brake Kleen and put on a couple of drops of weapon shield on the tabs and other lube points and it works smoother then ever.

Great tip thanks

If you ever get a chance, try some STP engine oil treatmen, I have been using this stuff to lube my guns for years, its about 3 or 4 dollars for a big bottle and will last a lifetime. I like it because it stays where you put it and it wont evaporate. Put it on with a q-tip then take a clean patch and wipe the spot you put it on, this is the best stuff I have ever seen and I have tried EVERYTHING.

I sent them an email and a couple of days later had my free sample, the $8.49 Oiler Pen! It is a great product and a little goes a long way. I will be buying more of this!

If it slides I grease it with Brian Enos Slide Glide Lite and if it is metal, moves or swivels I coat it with Steel (weapon) Shield. I haven't tried STP or Mobil 1 but I bet they work perfectly for a lot less money.

Mil-tec 1 Grease so far. Ive owned a small tube for over 4 years, once its low or out, I am going to switch to Hi Temp Wheel Bearing grease.

I use Mil-tec 1 Oil for light oil applications on non- moving, non- friction surfaces OR if I cannot grease it. I like BreakFree CLP as well (will probably go back to that AFTER I run out of Miltec for my non grease oilings). I also use Miltec/BreakFree for light cleanings between range visits. For heavy cleaning, I use M-Pro 7 bore gel and gun cleaner.

Anyone ever hear of Ballistol? I happened to have a bottle from my last job and have been using it. The slide is silky smooth and it doesn't seem to collect crud too badly and does sort of form a filmy type coating where you spread it.

It started out as a gun oil so I figured it would be o.k. Or Is my slide silky smooth because I'm wearing it out fast
