I always lube the barrel of my guns after cleaning. When I am ready to shoot the gun again, I run a patch down the barrel to remove any remaining oil, dust, or dirt.

I run a patch with Eezox through my bore after it's been cleaned, then dry the chamber with a Q-tip.

It makes the bore clean more easily.

Always an oiled patch through the barrel (Hoppes Elite). I run a dry patch through to mop up any excess.

+2 on Rem oil teflon, it also makes follow up barrel cleanings easier, IMO. I also use it as a final "wipe down" on my weapons, except for polymer frames which I clean with hot soapy, well rung rag.
