No. Glocks require no hammering or sight removal to completely disassemble. There beauty is in their simplicity.
As much as I love my M&P45 it can not be torn down as easily as a Glock.

The above is exactly true.
Removal of the extractor for cleaning would rarely need to be done. A few shots of GunScrubber spray will do a pretty good job in place of removal.

Since brass or bronze is considerably softer than stainless steel barrel, he may be referring to stainless steel brushes.
